My most Treasured Belonging (Blog entry #2)

"Luxury to me is not about buying or having expensive things; it's about living in a away where you love and appreciate little things." Oscar de la Renta
If we talk about most treasured thing, well I have many treasured things but when the word "most" is included then I have one. To be honest when it talks about treasured things I really find a hard time choosing because I'm the type of person who keeps a lot of things even though what kind of thing is that, from test papers to gifts I stil keep that. So, that's why my basis of a most treasured thing is that
something I cannot go outside the house without it or in other words, if wherever I will go it's with me and its my eyeglasses. You may call it over-acting but swear I can't live without my eyeglasses aside from the common basics needs of living of course.
The story behind it is that I have a difficulty of seeing far objects or in short near-sighted. It started when I was in third year high school. Maybe some people will judge me immediately that I'm wearing glasses just for fashion or to fit in an environment but no its a must for me. I can say really prove the saying this days that "The Struggle is Real" especially during rainy days and in a very hot climate. It's because my eyeglasses will start to form fogs and yes that's the start of my so called struggle. Wait there's more the most struggle part is that when cleaning thy eyeglass because it really needs an effort to clean it and make sure that it doesn't scratch the lens. So, you guys out there, take care of your eyes! Cause it's really not easy to wear eyeglasses everyday.

What Childhood is... (Blog entry #1)

"The childhood shows the man, as morning shows the day." John Milton

Every first day of January is set to be the day of reunion  of the family from my mother's side. Since our family owns a small chapel in Cebu (which is my mother's hometown) then it is a part of our reunion to hold a fiesta in honor for our chapel's patron on that the same day. Even in our early age we are already given tasks to comply for that said activity. Of course, the task will also depend on the range of the age, so the kids are assigned to present something, to serve foods and entertain the visitors. Preparing the decorations & snacks, decorating & cleaning the house, watching over the younger ones are assigned to the teenagers or the pre-adults. And lastly the adults are assigned to cook, and go to the market.
Even if I was still young I was trained already and given responsibilities that I need to comply to. As I grow up I'm now used to it and it's easy already for me to adjust especially when there's a deadline or an 11th hour activity. We are also trained to be religious and be family oriented. So as I grow up I am really attached to my family even though how fun it could to be with  my circle of friends.
